| The Keweenaw Peninsula is
a winter wonderland. The average snowfall is 240 inches and
the average temperature is a mild 20 degrees so come on up and
enjoy our winter paradise. For the brave of heart, there is
the Mt. Bohemia ski hill for experienced and expert downhill
skiiers only. There are cross country and snowshoe trails
taking you through our beautiful forests. If you prefer,
just settle into one of our warm, cozy cabins and enjoy the
solitude. The fireplace is always going in our lodge
gathering room.
Cross Country Ski trails:
Fort Wilkins State Park: 3.4 km - easy skiing along Lake
Fanny Hooe and through the state park.
John Lincoln Green Trail: 1 km - short easy trail along
Lake Fanny Hooe.
Clark Mine Trail: 7.2 km - intermediate with gentle to steep
climbs.
Kamakazie Trail: 9 km - intermediate to expert with long steep
hill.
Snowshoe Trails:
Hunter's Point: 3.2 km - easy trail right along Lake Superior.
Estivant Pines: 5.4 km - snowshoe through a virgin white pine
forest.
